Valerian root is a very mild and harmless sedative agent and a non-dependence-producing substance. It has a positive action on the cardiovascular system, promotes vascular distention, relieves spasms of venous vessels, reduces pressure, it is used in cases of tachycardia and hypertension. It normalizes the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, increases appetite, enhances the secretion of the stomach and pancreas, and is a good cholagogue in cases of gallbladder and liver diseases.
Method of application:
Cover 1 tablespoon of powdered valerian roots with 1 glass of boiled water, leave to brew for 2-3 hours, then strain and take 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day.
Put the powdered valerian roots into a container of dark glass and cover with 40% of alcohol or vodka at the ratio of 1:5. Leave to brew for 14 days. Take 20 drops diluted in water.
